Manaw Festival

Manaw festival is held only one time in a year in the northern part of
Myanmar, Myitkyina, Kachine State. This is especially to celebrate the
successful completion of harvesting. Part of this festival is
sacrificing bulls to pay homage to their spirits for good business,
harvesting and health. All of the colourful tribes from the border of
China and the edge of the Himalayas come down specially to celebrate
the Manaw festival. This is a unique chance for you to see all of the
hill tribes in one place and to get to know them by dancing their
dance around their remarkable Manaw Post which is their central holy
place.
Day 1 :Yangon - Myitkyina (by flight/car)
In the morning, transfer to Yangon Airport to fly to Myitkyina.
Transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, according to the festival program, enjoy the
festival. Overnight in Myit Kyi Na.
Day 2 :Myi Kyi Na (by car)
After breakfast, excursion to Myit Sone(river confluence) of Aye Yar
Waddy river,the longest river in Myanmar (1and half hours drive). On
the way, explore the ways of life of the Kachin Tribe peoples and
their villages. Overnight in Myit Kyi Na.
 Day 3 Myit Kyi Na
After breakfast,visit to the Manaw Festival. As this is the greatest
day of Kachin Hill tribes,National day of Kachin Tribes,you can
explore the coulourful Tribes in one sport.
Overnight in Myit Kyi Na.
Day 4 Myitkyina – Yangon (by car/flight)
Transfer to Myitkyina Airport and fly to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon
