Bpk 2: Myanmar Rakhine State
Tour
Yangon-Taunggoke-Sittwe-MraukU-Sittwe-Yangon(6 Days/5
Nights)
 Day 1: Yangon – Sittwe (by bus)
In the afternoon, transfer to bus stand to Taunggoke (
about 15 hours drive) . Over night in the bus.
Day 2: Sittwe
In the afternoon, arrive to Sittwe. Sittwe, the capital
of Rakhine State. Sittwe is a beautiful port town beside the
Andaman Sea a couple of hundred years old. It was a British
colonial town in the 19th century with some fine colonial
mansions but most of them were destroyed during WWII.
Enjoy the sunset at the light house. Overnight in Sittwe.
 Day 3: Sittwe – Mrauk U
Morning transfer to the jetty and take the ferry boat to
Mrauk – U (7 hours).
Day 4: Mrauk U
Morning sightseeing in Mrauk-U, an ancient capital of
Rakhine dynasty. Sightseeing includes Shittaung Temple which
was built by using mainly stones, Htauk-kan-thein Temple,
Yandanapon stupa which were all built in the Mrauk-U period.
Then visit to the old palace site surrounded by ruined
walls. Afternoon, visit to the Vesalli, old capital of
Rakhine State which is situated 6 miles from Mrauk-U. And
proceed to Kyauktaw town to visit the famous Mahamuni Buddha
image and drive back to Mrauk-U. Overnight in Mrauk-U.
 Day 5: Mrauk-U – Sittwe (by boat)
Morning visit to Jetty and take a ferry boat to Sittwe (8
hours drive). Overnight in Sittwe.
Day 6: Sittwe – Yangon (by flight)
Morning visit to Sittwe market and transfer to the
airport back to Yangon. Arrive in Yangon.
