Bpk 4: Myanmar Middle East Tour
Yangon-Mandalay-Pyinoolwin-Thipaw-Aungban-Pindaya-Inle-Heho-Yangon
(9 Days/8 Nights)
 

Day 1: Yangon – Mandalay (by bus)
In the morning, sightseeing in Yangon. City sightseeing tour includes the old colonial style city center, the gilded Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2000 years, Bogyoke Market, Chaukhtatkyi, a huge reclining Buddha image and followed by the massive Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world for its religious significance. In the afternoon, transfer to the high way bus stand to Mandalay (14 hours drive). Overnight in the bus.

Day 2: Mandalay sightseeing (by car)
You will arrive Mandalay, 8:00 am then transfer to hotel.
In the afternoon, visit to the venerable Mahamuni Pagoda, Myanmar traditional handicraft workshops: marble works and wood carvings, gold-leaf making and tapestry works, Shwe Kyaung (Golden Palace) Monastery, Atumashi (incomparable) Monastery, Kuthotaw Pagoda, a large Buddha Image carved out of a single block of marble. Enjoy the sunset over Mandalay for a panoramic view of the city. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 3: Mandalay – Pyinoolwin (by car)
Morning transfer to bus stand to Pyinoolwin (2 and half hour drive). Sightseeing in Pyinoolwin includes the National Kandawgyi Garden, Pwekauk Waterfall. Walk around the downtown to see the colonial building. Overnight in Pyinoolwin.

Day 4: Pyinoolwin – Thispaw (by train)
Morning transfer to the train station to Thispaw (7 hours drive). On the way, enjoy the beautiful landscape, colorful plantation and the Gohtike viaduct. You will get to Thispaw at 3:00 pm. In the afternoon, take a stroll in town. Overnight in Thispaw.

Day 5: Thispaw
Morning visit to the morning market of Thispaw. Then walk to the river side then take a boat to the trekking place (1 hour drive) along the clean,green river. When you get to the trek place, take off from the boat and passing through vegetable plantation villages till you get to the monastery which is 100 years old. Have lunch at monastery and return to the boat. ( If you wish you can swim in this pristine river. ) Then drive back to Thispaw by boat. Overnight in Thispaw.

Day 6: Thispaw – Mandalay (by express bus)
Early morning, transfer to the bus stand to Mandalay (9 hours drive). Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 7: Mandalay – Aungban – Pindaya
Morning transfer to the bus stand to Aung Ban (8 hours drive). When you get to Aung Ban, the car will come and pick you up and drive to Pindaya (1 hour drive). Overnight in Pindaya.

Day 8: Pindaya – Nyaung Shwe
Morning visit to Pindaya stalactite and stalagmite caves in which countless Buddha images of different types and time exist and a handmade traditional Shan umbrella factory. And then transfer to Inle lake (92km, 2 hours drive) from Pindaya famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty. Overnight in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 9: Inle – Heho – Yangon (by flight)
Morning visit to colorful market where one can see several hill tribes selling and buying fresh vegetables and regional products. Visit to Paungdawoo Pagoda, Ngaphe chaung ( jumping cats) Monastery, silversmith workshops , traditional weaving industry, blacksmiths and cigar making factory, etc. After lunch to Heho Airport to fly to Yangon.
